Horse related activities and/or farm/business:
Hi,
my name is Craig, but most everyone calls me "Rooster". I am a timber-frame carpenter
who restores barns for a living. I have used
my horses for pleasure, to skid logs, and to
help raise barn frames. If you have any questions
about draft horses or our draft horse club, I
will do my best to help you find the answers
you seek by networking with the other members.
I would encourage anyone who is a fan of the "heavy
breeds" to concider becoming a member. We
are a diverse group focused on sharing our knowledge
and experience to educate the public. Please
feel free to contact me.

Clydesdale
Greetings
from Steve & Marcia at "The Hazienda"
We
are proud to raise and show the mighty Clydesdale breed of horse. Our
first Clydesdale was purchased in 1995 on a whim, and we literally
didn't know which end of the harness was up. Through the helping
hands of new-found friends, we've come a long way and now do our
best to return those favors to any "newbies" who cross
our path. Our farm is located in Dodge County, and our horses
do everything from the non-glamorous job of spreading manure to the
flashy, dress-up affairs wearing show harness and scotch collars
and pulling a beautiful hitch wagon or a fancy cart. Since
1996 (when we figured out how to put the harness on), our family
has done many shows, fairs and parades, along with carriage events,
hayrides, field day demonstrations, Midwest Horse Fair, weddings,
church events, obstacle courses, trail rides, and annual appearances
at Old World Wisconsin. Our registered Clydesdales have made
us proud, and we are pleased to have been rewarded with many blue
ribbons and wonderful memories as the result of their efforts. Steve
has driven the horses single, in team, unicorn, 4-up and 4-abreast,
and he seems to think he needs to drive a 6-up. We ’ll see
about that.
