The Jefferson Co. Draft Horse Assoc. was started back in 1985 by a small group of people who showed draft horses at the county fair. The organization has grown dramatically since then, and includes members from many counties in Wisconsin and Illinois. In years past our activities have included sleigh rides, spring field days, farming demonstrations at the Smithsonian Institute Event in Blanchardville, draft horse presentations at the Midwest Horse Fair, the Jefferson Co. Fair Draft Horse Show, obstacle course and social, The Barefoot Pull, our participation in special evens at Old World Wisconsin, and the Fall Wagon Train.

You do NOT need to own a draft horse or live in Jefferson County or Wisconsin to be a member. We encourage anyone interested to join. Annual dues are $10 per adult. Minor children (under the age of 18) are free with a paid adult membership. Print out the membership form and send it in with your dues to the address listed.
