Jefferson County Draft Horse Association

JCDHA is a non-profit club located in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. We are a group of Draft Horse Enthusiasts who were organized to promote Draft Horses and farm technology. You do not have to own a horse to be a member. Meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the fourth Monday of every month in the Johnson Creek, Wisconsin library.  Check the Events Calendar for more details. Please feel free to join us!!!  Several times a year you will find us at Old World Wisconsin in Eagle, demonstrating how horses were used to work the land and settle Wisconsin. Members also demonstrate draft breeds at the Midwest Horse Show in Madison, Wisconsin and at the Jefferson County Fair.

JCDHA Raffle Filly

Each summer JCDHA holds a filly raffle. Tickets go on sale beginning at the Midwest Horse Fair in April, and the drawing for the filly is held on the last day of the Jefferson County Fair in July. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Winners may choose from either the filly or $500. JCDHA reserves the right to determine if the winner has the facility, skill and knowledge to choose the horse.

This year we have a registered Belgian Filly named "Retreat Reina". She was foaled on May 22nd, 2013 and has some strong bloodlines in her breeding. Tickets are available from members, at Eyewear Unlimited in Watertown, and will be sold during the Jefferson County Fair.

Proceeds from the filly raffle are used to fund club activities and scholarships. Please contact any club member to purchase tickets.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years and we look forward to another great year!

We welcome all draft horse enthusiast.
